Thank you for passing my email to Jim. I look forward to hearing from him. Another topic of interest to Jim might be the transition from combat operations (Operation Iraqi Freedom) to stability operations (Operation New Dawn), which will have emphasis on rebuilding Iraqi capacity.
I am feverishly going through "Go Planet" and "First Earth Battalion" to piece together what I can for integration into planning and would appreciate any guidance Jim has for the way ahead in Iraq. I would be happy to cite him as much or as little as he prefers. Depending on the political environment, this could be a great place to move forward with some of his concepts. Most of the obstacles are cultural in nature, but there are many people with a bit of vision though lacking direction.

My name is Marc Koepplinger, and I recently purchased and am thoroughly enjoying "Evolutionary Tactics"! The concepts are surprisingly timely given when it was written.
The purpose of the letter is to request any points of contact Jim may have to people involved in any similar programs in the military today. I am a Special Forces Major currently deployed to Iraq. I am the Commander of an Advisory unit to the Iraqi Special Operations Forces and have been trying to apply some of the mindset-shifting concepts to this developing unit. For example, we try hard to get video cameras out on every mission to document how professionally Iraqi forces are providing security and to mitigate the use of force. Few people truly want to be filmed doing bad things.
I agree with Jim that the US Military has the ability and an obligation to lead positive world change. I would like to explore more how I can help facilitate that change now or when I return to the States. I am sure he understands how difficult it is to influence change especially in an institution like the Army.
Would you mind at least passing this note to Jim to see if he might be willing to share any contacts with whom I may coordinate and support Jim's concepts laid out in "Evolutionary Tactics?"

Jim allows only three annual excursions from Hawaii to speak or counsel with leaders. The normal way to secure his advice is by webcam. A lesser quality exchange is by telephone for radio purposes. Using his illustration skills and arsenal of graphic maps he is best in his studio with access to white boards where he illustrates live or pulls out prepared charts and streams the video live.
An alternative is to e-mail jim questions which he can answer on HDTV and mail a DVD back for editing with the interviewer. The preferred magazine interviews occur with jim on his model eco-homestead so an authentic context is available for reference. All rates are consistent with professional industry standards.
